Why Safety Matters for All Industries

June is National Safety Month and workplace safety is no accident.  In fact, occupational accidents and injuries affect every industry and can majorly impact an employer’s bottom line.  Businesses spend $170 billion a year on costs associated with occupational injuries and Illness. However, workplace accidents can be substantially reduced with a solid safety program incorporating personal protective equipment (PPE). This June, we encourage you to learn more about why safety matters for all industries.  Each week during National Safety Month, AMMEX will share valuable industry-specific topics, tips, and trends that you can reshare or send directly so you are a Safety Expert for your clients #‎SafetyMatters.

Safety Matters for All Industries

    • Week 1:  Safety Month Launch
    • Week 2:  JanSan Industry
    • Week 3:  Automotive Industry
    • Week 4:  Food Service Industry
    • Week 5:  Medical and Dental Industry

Why Safety Matters for All Industries

Workplace safety affects all industries – whether it’s food safety in the food service industry, chemical safety in janitorial and sanitation, or protection against biological agents in the medical and dental industry – whatever the case workplace safety matters to every industry.  In fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that workplace injuries reached 3.0 million in 2014 and occurred across all occupations.  Workplace injuries can significantly impact an employer’s bottom line.

“Creating a safe workplace is becoming increasingly important to business success.”

Employers that invest in workplace safety can expect to reduce fatalities, injuries, and illnesses. This will result in cost savings in a variety of areas, such as lowering workers’ compensation costs and medical expenses, avoiding OSHA penalties, and reducing costs to train replacement employees and conduct accident investigations. In addition, employers often find that changes made to improve workplace safety and health can result in significant improvements to their organization’s productivity and financial performance.

“Because much work is done with the hands, gloves are essential for workplace safety programs.”

Fatalities and injuries can be substantially reduced with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).  Any form of PPE that acts as a barrier between the skin and the agent of exposure can be considered skin protection. Gloves are an essential tool in protecting workers. Some examples of gloves commonly used as PPE include leather work gloves and disposable gloves such as nitrile, latex, vinyl or poly.  Many different gloves are used for protection, generally against biological agents, chemical agents, and mechanical trauma.  Other than gloves, protection worn for the purpose of protecting the skin is considered personal protection equipment such as face masks, poly sleeves, aprons, and hair nets.

National Safety Month is a great time for employers to evaluate workplace safety programs and safety equipment. The benefits of a workplace safety program can directly affect the company’s bottom line, reducing costs and improving productivity.  AMMEX disposable gloves are sold by AMMEX distributors and trusted by the most prominent end users across a variety of industries.  Contact us today to become a distributor and supply your customers with superior quality disposable gloves and barrier protection products.

7 Benefits of Gratitude

Today is a good time to pause for a moment to consider the importance and benefits of gratitude.  Although it is nice to count your blessings on Thanksgiving with friends and family, being thankful throughout the year could have tremendous benefits on your quality of life.  Here’s 7 Benefits of Gratitude.

Gratitude, by definition, is the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.  It is also a proven attribute that is associated with greater happiness, as well as better physical and mental health.  According to Harvard Medical School, “Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships.”

“We are grateful for our employees, distributors and customers. Happy Thanksgiving from AMMEX!”

Here are 7 Benefits of Gratitude and how they can positively impact your life:

1.  Gratitude opens the door to more relationships

We all know that saying “thank you” is good manners, but did you know that showing appreciation can help you win new friends and build new relationships?, according to a 2104 study published in Emotion. The study found that thanking a new acquaintance makes them more likely to seek an ongoing relationship. So whether you thank a stranger for holding the door or you send a quick thank-you note to that co-worker who helped you with a project, acknowledging other people’s contributions can lead to new opportunities.

2.  Grateful people are more hopeful

Studies have shown that being grateful fosters a sense of well being and hope.  When people actively take the time to list the things they are grateful for, they feel better mentally and physically than participants who haven’t done the same.  In other words, gratitude’s benefits are not only correlational, but in some cases causal. Gratitude can act “directly, as a causal agent of well-being; and indirectly, as a means of buffering against negative states and emotions.

3.  Improve physical health with gratitude

Gratitude improves physical health. Grateful people experience fewer aches and pains and they report feeling healthier than other people.  Not surprisingly, grateful people are also more likely to take care of their health.  They exercise more often and are more likely to attend regular check-ups with their doctors, which is likely to contribute to further longevity.

Being appreciative has powerful effects on your body. Researchers have linked gratitude to lower blood pressure, fewer aches and pains, and improved immunity. A 2015 study published in Spirituality in Clinical Practice found grateful people even have healthier hearts.

4.  Be a better leader

Want to keep your employees happy and motivated? Show your appreciation. Employees who feel their work is appreciated and recognized by their boss are more likely to work harder.  Grateful leaders motivate their employees to be more productive, according to researchers at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. The study found that employees who were thanked by their managers made 50% more fundraising calls than their counterparts who hadn’t heard the same token of appreciation.

5.  Increase your resilience

Resilience is defined in psychology as the capacity to cope with stress, traumatic events and adversity. There has been a tremendous amount of research that has shown gratitude not only reduces stress, but it may also play a major role in overcoming trauma.  Studies suggest that War Veterans with higher levels of gratitude experienced lower rates of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.  Another study found that gratitude was a major contributor to resilience following September 11.  Recognizing all you have to be thankful for – even during the worst times of your life – fosters resilience.

6.  Gratitude improves self-esteem

A study published in the Journal of Applied Sport Psychology found that gratitude increased athlete’s self-esteem, which is an essential component to optimal performance. Other studies have shown that gratitude reduces social comparisons. Rather than becoming resentful toward people who have more money or better jobs – which is a major factor in reduced self-esteem- grateful people are able to appreciate other people’s accomplishments.

7.  Have more energy to work on your goals

Taking note of what you’re grateful for could help you reach your goals. A 2003 study published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology found that college students who kept gratitude journals reported higher levels of alertness, enthusiasm, determination, energy and attentiveness compared to their counterparts.

Gratitude is a way for people to appreciate what they have instead of always reaching for something new in the hopes it will make them happier, or thinking they can’t feel satisfied until every physical and material need is met. Gratitude helps people refocus on what they have instead of what they lack.  We all have the ability and opportunity to cultivate gratitude, not only on Thanksgiving but throughout the year.   Simply take a few moments to focus on all that you have – rather than complain about all the things you think you deserve.  Developing an “attitude of gratitude” is one of the simplest ways to improve your satisfaction with life.

What are Black Nitrile Gloves?

What are Black Nitrile Gloves?

Black Nitrile Gloves
are premium, industrial-grade gloves that are used in a wide variety of industries. These gloves are 50 percent thicker than standard nitrile gloves, with three times the puncture resistance of latex. As a result, these gloves are tougher, which means each glove lasts longer and workers require fewer glove changes. GlovePlus Black Nitrile Gloves are powder-free, which means they will not leave any residue for workers that need to paint or finish a seal. They are also non-chlorinated to provide a longer shelf life. Here are some other benefits of this premium glove:

Chemical resistance: These products have high resistance to many chemicals, such as iodine and butane, making them ideal for automotive technicians and other workers who deal with chemicals on a daily basis. The glove will even stay true to form after being dipped in gasoline.

Strong grip: The textured surface of the glove gives it a sturdy grip in both wet and dry conditions, with micro-roughening on the palm as well as texture on the fingertips.

“These long-lasting premium gloves are durable and puncture-resistant.”

Professional appearance: The dark color of GlovePlus Black Nitrile Gloves adds additional benefits. These products hide dirt, grease and grime to help workers maintain a clean, professional look.

All the benefits of nitrile
GlovePlus Black Nitrile Gloves also have all the benefits of regular nitrile , including conforming closely to the hand when they reach body temperature for a more comfortable fit. The gloves are polymer coated to make them easier to don, and feature a beaded cuff. The gloves are latex-free, so workers don’t need to worry about developing an allergy.

GlovePlus Black Nitrile Gloves are sold in 100 count boxes, with 10 boxes per case with extended sizes to make sure every employee can find the right fit for them.

Providing Value and Engagement with QR Codes

Quick response (QR) codes have been around for a few years, existing as another avenue to connect businesses and consumers with the AMMEX brand. AMMEX uses this valuable technology in unique ways to not only provide useful information about products, but also to garner more business for itself and its distributors.

Innovative thinking is crucial with QR codes today, as they face competition from emerging technologies like augmented reality. Moreover, less engaging QR codes have prompted many consumers to ignore these marketing and informational resources completely. In fact, May 2013 data from Forrester showed only 8 percent of U.S. adults who owned smartphones scanned a QR or barcode within the month.

AMMEX understands how this data impacts any company’s approach to marketing, as well as necessary steps to provide value to end users and ultimately boost revenue. A solid strategy is especially crucial as the ubiquitous nature of QR codes makes it difficult to stand out in the crowd.

“Viewers must get something out of the QR code experience.”

QR code best practices
Despite present challenges, QR codes are not a dead technology. However, success does require adherence to certain best practices. Here are a few:

  • Avoiding links to company homepages: Redirects to generic homepages do not provide viewers with engaging content. AdAge listed this mistake among the three reasons QR codes have not been more successful.
  • Linking to mobile-friendly landing pages: QR code scanning technology is made for smartphones and tablets, which means the content to which a code takes viewers must fit a mobile screen. Whether the linked site has a mobile version or utilizes responsive design, it must be immediately viewable on the scanning device.
  • Going easy on the ads: Viewers do not want to arrive at a landing page cluttered with ads. This detracts from the content and drives viewers away.
  • Making scanning beneficial: The QR code experience should not be about only what the viewer provides for the company. What do viewers gain from scanning? Whether it is useful information or an exclusive deal, they must get something out of the experience.

How AMMEX takes QR codes a step further
AMMEX QR codes have a multilayer approach to value. Not only does AMMEX seek to enrich clients’ and end users’ product knowledge, but the company also aims to boost distributors’ sales.

This process starts with the content. When consumers scan QR codes on AMMEX packaging, they arrive at a video landing page that features a video. This way, they gain insight about the product they have in hand to make a more informed decision about which glove is right for their job. If one product does not fit their needs, they are able to repeat the process with another glove. This strategy encompasses the first and second best practices.

The next aspect of the AMMEX QR code strategy benefits buyers and distributors. The landing pages are not solely for informational purposes. They also address the third best practice by not sending consumers to a page that says “buy gloves here.” With the product in hand, why would they need details about another location to make a purchase? Furthermore, this is a “neutral” approach, which means it does not hinder distributors’ business by sending customers out the door to another retailer.

Staying ahead in ecommerce
Ecommerce continues to experience growth, and AMMEX’s approach to QR codes – in conjunction with its digital marketing efforts and other uses of technology for business process efficiency – is one way it has stepped into the digital age to remain competitive. It is these strategies that allow AMMEX to push forward as an industry leader with QR codes and other avenues despite all obstacles.

AMMEX products have begun featuring a QR code printed on the packaging that takes customers to product landing pages with informational videos. This feature provides a quick and seamless way for customers to learn more about AMMEX’s products. This solution supports AMMEX’s marketing efforts by providing information to help move customers down the sales funnel.

Doc-link
The Internet has made cloud-based document storage solutions possible, which is crucial when you serve customers across the country. Doc-link is a product that enables AMMEX to seamlessly process orders from customers. The software captures documents to automate sales processes. Implementing this tool has enabled AMMEX to continue to grow without becoming bogged down in manual workflows. Doc-link also makes the process more accurate, ensuring distributors get the shipments they ordered so they move inventory more quickly.

Vidyo
One of the ways AMMEX keeps up with its staff at numerous locations worldwide in Southeast Asia and across the U.S. is through frequent contact. Staying in close touch with all team members is one of AMMEX’s core strategies. The desire for consistent contact is why the company has a morning huddle in every department every morning. AMMEX was quick to realize that Internet-based video conferencing solutions would enable the brand to easily maintain relationships and do business overseas without as much need for travel. Why Disposable Gloves are the MVP of Football

With the countdown to the National Football League 2015 season looming, not to mention thousands of high schools and colleges preparing for upcoming seasons of their own, it is worthwhile to consider the place disposable gloves hold in football stadiums.

This year’s NFL kickoff takes place on Thursday, Sept. 10 at Gillette Field in Foxborough, Massachusetts, where the Pittsburgh Steelers will face off against the New England Patriots. According to the stadium’s website, up to 5,000 staff members are needed to operate the stadium for each game, including food service, janitors, medical professionals and vehicle support. The number may be larger or smaller in high school and college stadiums around the country, but one thing is for sure: Football stadiums require quite an arsenal of disposable gloves to meet the needs of employees. While the athletes themselves won’t sport nitrile, latex, or vinyl gloves, there are many employees in the background who rely on gloves to get their jobs done. Where would a football stadium be without food service employees to keep hungry fans happy, janitors to keep the stadium clean, physicians to deal with injuries and vehicle support staff to ensure players make it to games?

Food service
Gillette Stadium boasts that Patriots fans eat more than one ton of Italian sausage on a typical game day and consume 186 gallons of clam chowder. To safely deliver these food items, as well as any others a stadium sells, workers need disposable gloves to prevent cross-contamination. These employees need to change gloves frequently and go through up to 20 pairs each day. For this reason, food service employees are most likely to wear poly or vinyl gloves, which provide the required protection at a low cost.

Janitorial and maintenance
Overall, Gillette Field has a capacity of almost 67,000 people and covers nearly 2 million square feet, according to the stadium’s website. That’s a lot of space to clean. To protect themselves from cleaning chemicals and bacteria, janitorial staff require disposable gloves. These employees may use vinyl, nitrile or latex gloves. Vinyl is the most cost-effective option, but nitrile and latex provide superior chemical and puncture resistance.

“Disposable gloves play a big role behind the scenes at football games.”

Medical
Football players often sustain many injuries throughout the course of a season, ranging from serious concussions to minor cuts and scrapes. Medical professionals don disposable gloves, such as latex or nitrile, to provide a barrier against potential bodily fluid contact and protect wounds from contamination.

Vehicle support
When watching players face off on the field, it’s easy to forget many of them had to travel hundreds of miles to get there. A CBS News profile of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ travel to a game in Pittsburgh noted all the players board a bus to and from the airport, and roughly 16,000 pounds of equipment accompanies the team to each away game. Stadiums may keep mechanics and vehicle maintenance staff on-site to make sure vehicles are in working order to transport players and gear from point A to point B. These staff are most likely to wear durable latex or nitrile gloves for their enhanced protection.

Hundreds of thousands of spectators across the country will fill stadiums this season, but without disposable gloves, it would be impossible for them to watch their favorite players on the field. Disposable gloves are every year’s most valuable player.

The Trend Toward Ecommerce

The business world has changed significantly over the past decade. Ecommerce is now a crucial part of the economy, and companies that do not have an online presence will suffer. According to data from research firm eMarketer, ecommerce in the U.S. is expected to grow 14.2 percent in 2015, accounting for 7 percent of total retail sales and reaching a total of $349 billion in sales. As the years go on, online revenue will continue to take a bite out of overall retail sales. AMMEX took the right steps to stay on top of the ecommerce trend, remain ahead of the curve and helps its customers do the same. In addition to embracing ecommerce, AMMEX developed digital marketing resources to increase Web traffic and engage with customers.

Remain competitive with ecommerce

In 2015, having an ecommerce platform is crucial to maintaining a successful business. Customers expect to be able to purchase items online. They are unlikely to work with a vendor that does not provide an ecommerce solution, especially if another local vendor does allow online sales. While there will always be a place for in-store sales, customers enjoy the flexibility of online shopping. According to PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Total Retail Survey, nearly half of respondents indicated they like being able to go online whenever they want: day or night. In addition, 27 percent say they shop online because a wider variety of products are available. These days, it is common for businesses to have more inventory available online than in their physical locations. A big-box chain may have 900,000 SKUs available on its Web store. This means all mid-sized distributors that maintain traditional stores need to also have an online site to remain competitive.

Support ecommerce with digital marketing
Many companies fail to adapt to a changing marketplace and perform badly as a result. Just think about how Kodak failed to understand customers’ interest in digital cameras and continued to invest in analog film. Despite being the first company to invent a digital camera, the company filed for bankruptcy in 2012. In contrast, AMMEX recognized early on the need to develop a robust online presence. As a multinational corporation with offices that span the globe, it was necessary for AMMEX to invest in digital solutions. As a result, AMMEX has been named one of the fastest growing companies by both Puget Sound Business Journal and Inc. magazine.

Distributors that partner with AMMEX have the benefit of working with a forward-thinking supplier. AMMEX recognizes the need to support online sales with digital marketing. AMMEX leverages marketing support as a key differentiator. With the shift toward online stores and ecommerce spaces, AMMEX embraces digital marketing.

“Digital marketing engages customers and earns their trust.”

Along with the availability of an online store, digital marketing programs are also an important way to keep customers engaged and earn their trust. According to PwC, 56 percent of customers research a purchase by using a search engine. Moreover, customers regularly turn to social media, especially Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, to learn more about companies and their products.

For this reason, AMMEX developed digital marketing assets, which distributors use as a resource when developing their own campaigns. AMMEX provides educational videos, a blog and social channels to educate potential customers and lead them to make a purchase online.

Whether or not customers choose to make a final purchase online, the Internet figures heavily into their decision-making process. It is important for all businesses to have an online presence bolstered heavily by digital marketing efforts such as search engine optimization, social media or email campaigns. AMMEX develops resources to support distributors and help them get started with digital marketing to bring in more customers. AMMEX embraced the digital revolution head on. It is the company’s mission to help customers do the same.

Industry Trend Toward Thinner, Lighter, Low Cost

Gloves are a necessity in many industries, but the cost adds up quickly for workers who go through a lot of gloves. Some industries, such as food service or manufacturing, require more frequent glove changes than others. For this reason, the industry trend toward thinner, lighter, low cost disposable gloves, are the best choice for short duration tasks that require frequent changes.

Value driven
Businesses where Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) or other regulations are a factor are required to follow strict rules to remain compliant. These rules are in place to protect the safety of workers and consumers, but they require employees to pay close attention to their activities and don and doff gloves frequently. Under HACCP, employees need to change gloves whenever they are used or torn, whenever staff begin a new task. This adds up to 20 pairs each day on average for each employee. When you consider how many employees are on each shift throughout the day at a food service establishment, the glove count grows quickly.

“Food service workers use 20 pairs of gloves each day on average.”

New technology, new trends
As manufacturing capabilities improve, it is possible to produce lighter weight gloves and still maintain the protective barrier needed. In the past, 4-5 mil gloves were the standard weight for disposable gloves. Now 3mil has become the industry standard, with the previous weight serving as the new premium grade. In addition to being lighter, these gloves have the benefit of greater flexibility and tactile sensitivity.

A growing number of industries, including automotive, janitorial, agricultural and more, are adopting the use of disposable gloves to protect workers’ hands. Occupations that traditionally did not require gloves now encourage workers to don gloves.

The need for the right glove
Not all glove decisions are solely price driven, many buyers are focused on finding the right glove for the job. According to a 2013 study from TriComB2B in partnership with the University of Dayton School of Business Administration, price dominated just 55 percent of all purchasing decisions. Product features, benefits and brand are other attributes that come into play.

For instance, many buyers in the automotive industry choose nitrile gloves over latex because the material is not as easily punctured. In addition, nitrile does not react in gasoline, as latex does. Automotive workers deal with heavy tools and sometimes sharp objects, creating a need for a heavier glove. Choosing the right glove for the job is typically more cost-effective in the long run because it results in fewer glove changes.

Many considerations go into buying disposable gloves. Cost may be a factor, but it is more important to make sure the gloves you choose are up to the specific task you need them for.

Disposable Gloves Star in Summer Blockbusters

The summer always brings a slew of fun flicks and a good chance to escape into the air conditioning for a while. We enjoy a good movie here at AMMEX, but the silver screen is also an opportunity to share just how pervasive, not to mention exciting, disposable gloves are. Film narratives demonstrate how frequently people need to use disposable gloves. Across all industries (and genres), characters on screen need disposable gloves to carry out various tasks throughout the movie. Of course, since we happen to be in the glove business, we always wonder: If this movie were real, what gloves would the characters wear? Sit back, grab some popcorn and read on to learn what gloves characters would don in this summer’s top blockbusters.

Dinosaur movie
When dinosaurs are sick, what gloves do you wear?

Jurassic World

In “Jurassic World,” park employees are kept busy tending to the dinosaurs, which have as many needs as the average group of livestock, just with sharper teeth. The brontosauruses, T-Rexes and raptors need consistent care to maintain their health. As with any situation where workers deal with potentially sick animals, it is important to contain any possible pathogens so they do not spread to the rest of the herd. Widespread illness would disappoint the legions of visitors who came to the park to see live dinosaurs, although it may have prevented the mass escape of the dangerous beasts.

When working with animals that might carry harmful bacteria, employees need to use a protective barrier on their hands. This prevents workers from contracting a disease or spreading it between animals. You never know what kind of strange bacteria a dinosaur could transmit. Reptiles and amphibians are known to carry salmonella – a bacteria that is easily transmitted to humans – on their skin.

In this case, Jurassic World staff would probably wear vinyl gloves, disposing of them as they move between animals. As a relatively inexpensive material, vinyl is a smart choice for workers who have to change their gloves frequently. Considering how many dinosaurs these staff would treat in a day, the cost of gloves could add up quickly. With Jurassic World’s operating costs likely being high enough already, there is no reason to add a huge disposable glove cost to the bottom line.

Minions

Plenty of employees across the world need gloves to work with harsh chemicals, but we hope none of them are operating under a criminal mastermind, like the workers in “Minions,” the latest installment of the “Despicable Me” franchise released in mid-July. In “Minions,” America’s favorite tiny yellow henchmen finally get the origin story we have all been waiting for. The movie documents their relationship with their first super villain master, Scarlett Overkill. Anyone who has watched the Despicable Me movies knows the minions wear gloves, but what kind are they?

As minions, the little yellow guys have to work hard to support the endeavors of their super villain master, which involves building weapons, vehicles and more. It is hard to know whether the minions are as susceptible to chemicals as humans would be, but they do wear gloves.

If the minions work on vehicles, they probably wear nitrile gloves. Oil, gasoline and hydraulic fluids irritate skin and possibly even have a negative impact on health. Nitrile gloves are strong enough to protect the skin from these fluids, where gasoline causes latex to dissolve. Nitrile gloves also conform to the workers hands during use. The minions wear their gloves constantly, so they will be looking for superior comfort.

The nitrile gloves would also be a good choice for the minions’ other duties, like working in manufacturing facilities where they would need greater dexterity and protection from possible chemicals.

Boxing ring
Physicians don gloves to treat boxing injuries.

Southpaw

In “Southpaw,” a boxer tries to get his life back on track after disaster strikes his family. The most prominent gloves in this upcoming film are a pair of boxing gloves, but look closer and you may see disposable gloves in a supporting role. Boxing is a brutal sport, and the medics on the sidelines, known as ringside physicians, are some of its unsung heroes. To treat the boxers in between rounds, medical professionals need disposable gloves.

While Jake Gyllenhaal’s character is getting slammed in the ring on his road to redemption, the medics will don disposable gloves to clean any wounds he may have been obtained. The gloves form a protective barrier against bodily fluid contact. For this particular application, most medics would go with a latex exam glove for its comfortable fit and superior barrier protection. However, a physician with a latex allergy or sensitivity may opt for nitrile instead.

Disposable gloves are a necessity in many industries, helping to keep employees safe from chemicals and contaminants. Without gloves, these movies could have been disasters. From the boxing ring to the dinosaur pen and everywhere in between, look out for disposable gloves this summer – coming to a theater near you.

The Right Glove for the Job

Disposable gloves are used for a multitude of purposes, from food preparation to medical to automotive. However, it’s important to know which type of gloves are best suited for your intended purpose. Here’s a look at the main types of gloves and their uses:

Latex
Latex gloves offer the best fit and dexterity, which is why  these gloves are more comfortable for longer wear. Outside of the medical and dental fields, latex gloves are commonly used for janitorial work, beauty services, child care, safe chemical handling, plumbing and painting.

Nitrile
Currently, 80 percent of the disposable gloves in the automotive field are nitrile because they offer superior puncture resistance and barrier protection against a variety of harsh chemicals. Nitrile gloves are also becoming more popular in the medical and dental fields because of the growing prevalence of latex sensitivities. Nitrile gloves conform to the hands during wear for comfortable fit, and they are highly resistant to a variety of chemicals. Industrial and medical grade nitrile gloves come in a range of different colors, which may be functional as well as eye-catching. For example, orange industrial-grade nitrile gloves help workers be more aware of their hands when working in dark environments.

Vinyl
As more food service and processing workers use gloves during preparation, vinyl glove usage is taking off. Vinyl gloves contain no latex, have a smooth surface and have a looser fit than nitrile or latex gloves although they still conform to the hands. These gloves are also used in other industries, including medical and janitorial-sanitation.

Poly
Poly gloves are perfect for food preparation and handling because of their loose fit, which makes it easier for employees to remove the gloves for more frequent glove changes. Stretch poly gloves have a more enhanced grip and are easier to don.
